This is the thing I hate most about my dog, my daughter, and my husband, and I do not love him.
Deer are one of the most dangerous and difficult animals to train. It’s very hard to determine how much they weigh because they are so heavy and they don’t really have scales. So what do we do? We train them to weigh a certain amount, like 2 pounds, and use that as a base figure. Of course we can’t always do that because some deer can weigh 10 times our 2 pound base figure.
The best way to train a deer is to have them walk around and see if they can get a feel for their weight. If they are a female you can also give them food and then try and get them to walk on a scale.
